A brief history of Stellar Precision Components

Stellar Precision Components is a manufacturer of high precision parts and assemblies. We employ a veteran core of skilled journeymen machinists and technicians who provide the foundation for quality manufacturing of an array of critical components.

While today the name "Stellar Precision" is synonymous with the aerospace and defense industry, that has not always been the case.

Stellar was originally formed in 1978 by it's former president Mike Vucish Sr. to satisfy a then growing need in the commercial and naval nuclear power industry and remaining in that capacity through the early 1980's. (Click Here for more)

Lori V. Albright and Mike E. Vucish, current owners and officers have been with Stellar since its inception. Over the past 27 years however Stellar has grown and been transformed in various ways:

• From a 10 person facility with modest sales in 1978 to one employing approximately 85 persons and generating 6 to 8 million in revenues in support of the aerospace ,nuclear power, medical and commercial marketplace
• From a solely machining facility to one also offering non-destructive testing, welding, heat treating, teflon coating, wire EDM, and other related services. (Click Here for more)

• From a government identified small business to a "woman owned small business" which offers customers additional government established incentives.

Today Stellar is dedicated to not only servicing our customers but also educating our workforce through apprentice programs and partnerships with area high schools and training centers in western PA.

Employing the very latest machining and inspection technologies and with 17 years of experience machining composites and such exotic metals as Beta-C titanium, Maraging, Copper/Bronze Alloys, 17-4 & 15-5 Stainless Steels and other.
