CNC Machinist

Essential Functions: 

  • Function as part of a team

  • Set-up equipment (tooling, work-holding) and operate equipment to make quality parts

  • Recognize areas for improvement when machining such as speed, feed, and depth and angle of cut

  • Read and understand engineering drawings

  • Knowledge of speeds and feeds for machining all types of metals

  • Use micrometers (ID, OD, depth etc.), electronic gauges, calipers and similar tools/equipment

  • Knowledge of metric conversion; capable to work in Metric and English units

  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

  • Second and Third Shift availability with 5% shift differential

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Methods Engineer

Skills:

20+ years of Manufacturing Experience is preferred.

 

Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, setup requirements and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is required.

 

Ability to use and navigate Modeling and Drafting software is required. Quality Control Experience is not necessary but is preferred.

Microsoft Excel, SolidWorks and CNC Programming Experience is preferred

Manufacturing Engineering Responsibilities:

 

  • Reporting product deviations during production through data analysis and hands on inspection.

  • Complete thorough Non-Conformance investigations via MRB.

  • Implement and assist with corrective actions and root cause analysis.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to improve processes.

  • Assist MRB day-to-day activities.

  • Assist Engineering during the execution of the 3 phases of production.

    1. Planning:

      1. Attend Planning Meetings for upcoming and awarded work

      2. Work Holding and Process Development.

      3. Solid Modeling and Drawing Creation for both part and work holding.

      4. Drawing Review

      5. System Organization

      6. Drawing Distribution and Drawing Management.

    2. Machining:

      1. In-process Inspection Strategies and Resources (CMM programming, In­ machine checks, floor hardware and technique design)

      2. S.O.P. Creation. (Hydro, Inspection, Assembly)

      3. Renishaw/Touch Probing implemented in CNC machines where applicable to improve quality. 

    3. Recovery

      1. File/drawing/program/setup sheet Recovery and Organization.

      2. Fixture Control.
